It seems GoDaddy had a very serious DNS issue affecting who knows how many customers around the globe for 4+ hours on Monday. CNN and other news sites report that it was an attack and WIRED discovered that GoDaddy even switched their domain to start using their competitor Verisign’s DNS service, which is an embarrassing move. We really don’t like seeing any of our competitors attacked, and if that is the case, we hope they determine the root cause to better mitigate anything similar in the future.
For customers who were affected, we can help. Any of our DNS Packages support either secondary service (where we replicate the DNS settings at GoDaddy, if the account permits it) or primary service (where we become the DNS provider of record).
We also offer a free 14 day trial if you want to give us a spin!
