Cloud Platform Release v20.3.0

Posted on March 27, 2020

To close out March, we have released a few things you’ve been asking for. Here are the details:

  • Change Log Additions: We continue to increase the type and amount of data we capture for the change logs. In this release we added a long list of items to the logs specifically from the networking > Configuration Builder section. This will help you better track who made a change and when.

  • API Documentation: We made a few adjustments to our API documentation to reflect the requirement for the Company ID for a few specific API calls. This has been updated in our online documentation at https://totaluptime.com/api/v2/.

  • Web Redirect Bug: We fixed a bug in web redirect records where the API would occasionally allow the creation of a record duplicate to an existing A record. This has been resolved in the API, but also the panel and Zone import process.

  • Load Balancing Persistence Grouping: Due to popular demand, we developed and released a new feature that allows load balancing affinity or persistence to group across multiple ports. By default, persistence is maintained on a per-port basis. This means if you have two ports such as 80 and 443 and more than one device/server, the user could be directed to one device for port 80 traffic, and another device for port 443 traffic. This new feature will allow you to maintain it now across all ports so users, regardless of destination port, will be directed to the same device.

  • Password Reset Confirmation: We added a confirmation dialog to the User tab so when a new password request is made, it first requires confirmation instead of immediately resetting and emailing the new password. This should resolve issues where users click the button to find out what it does, only to discover that it already did it!

  • Domains disabled on company disablement: This is primarily for resellers. We corrected a bug where secondary domains would not properly disable if the company was disabled (perhaps for non-payment, or even permanently).

That’s it for this update. Please send us your feedback! As we continue to evolve our solution to be the leading ADC-as-a-Service platform, we want to know what you think. Tell us the good and the bad. Let us know what features you think we should have and which ones are a waste of time, buggy, or don’t make sense. The more feedback you give us, the better our product becomes because we really do listen! Please contact us! We love hearing from our customers.
