London, United Kingdom – 16 July 2026
Total Uptime today announced the acquisition of Edgenexus and its subsidiaries, bringing together two complementary technology leaders to create a unified Application Delivery Platform that combines networking, security, resilience and application delivery into a single solution.
The acquisition follows Total Uptime’s recent acquisition by Magpie Software Group, a division of Emergence Technology Group, backed by The Pritzker Organization, providing significant investment to accelerate innovation, global expansion and long-term growth.
As part of the transaction, Greg Howett, Founder and CEO of Edgenexus, will become Chief Executive Officer of the combined business, while Jonathan Hoppe, Founder of Total Uptime, will become Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technology strategy, product innovation and platform integration.
Together, the combined organisation delivers one of the industry’s broadest software-based application delivery portfolios, spanning:
✔ High-availability DNS delivered from independent infrastructure
✔ Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB)
✔ DDoS mitigation services
✔ Web Application Firewall and API protection (WAF, WAAP)
✔ Advanced ADC and Load Balancing technologies (Self hosted or As a Service)
✔ BGP Over GRE / VPN – Resilient single IP
✔ Protective DNS Service
✔ Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud networking
✔ On-premises, cloud, and managed deployment
Available across bare metal, virtual machines, containers, public cloud and hybrid environments, customers retain complete ownership and control of how and where applications are delivered.
Solving a Growing Industry Challenge
For more than two decades, organisations have relied on separate products for load balancing, web application firewalls, DNS, DDoS protection, CDN and global traffic management. This fragmented approach has increased operational complexity, reduced visibility and created unnecessary cost while making it increasingly difficult to secure and operate modern digital services.
The combined company intends to change that.
Rather than forcing organisations to manage multiple disconnected products, the new platform provides a single, centrally managed architecture that delivers networking, security, resilience and application delivery through one integrated solution.
Customers benefit from:
Greg Howett, Chief Executive Officer
“This acquisition represents a defining moment for both organizations. Commercially, it gives us the scale, investment, and global reach to accelerate our long-term vision. Technically, it allows us to move significantly closer to true Application Delivery Convergence, bringing networking, security, resilience and application delivery together within a single unified platform. Our customers shouldn’t have to integrate multiple products simply to deliver secure, resilient applications. We believe the future is one platform, one management experience, and one trusted partner.”
Jonathan Hoppe, Chief Technology Officer
“I am delighted to welcome Greg and the Edgenexus team. For many years I’ve believed the future of application delivery lies in intelligently combining cloud-native services with powerful software deployed wherever customers need it. Together we can innovate faster, simplify operations, and provide customers with a truly comprehensive application delivery platform that gives them greater flexibility without sacrificing control.”
He added:
“Quality of service has always been our highest priority. Total Uptime has built its reputation on delivering exceptional availability, while Edgenexus has consistently delivered innovation in application delivery technologies. Together we can offer customers a broader technology platform backed by the same commitment to engineering excellence and customer success.”
Built for Modern Enterprises
As organisations increasingly deploy applications across multiple clouds, private infrastructure and edge environments, maintaining visibility, security and operational consistency has become increasingly difficult.
The combined platform enables organisations to:
Commitment to Partners
The combined company reaffirmed its commitment to its global channel community.
Partners remain central to the company’s long-term strategy and will benefit from a significantly broader portfolio, enhanced technical capabilities, increased recurring revenue opportunities and continued investment in enablement and support.
Greg Howett commented:
“Our partners have been instrumental in building both businesses.
Bringing these organisations together gives them access to a far broader technology portfolio while maintaining the close relationships and technical expertise they value today.
We see tremendous opportunities to help partners grow their businesses through innovative solutions, managed services and long-term recurring revenue.”
Looking Ahead
The combined business will continue investing heavily in product innovation, platform integration and customer success.
Development is already underway to deliver a unified management experience, common APIs, AI-driven operational automation and tighter integration across the complete portfolio.
The company also intends to continue growing through strategic acquisitions of complementary technologies that strengthen its vision of delivering the industry’s most complete application delivery platform.
Greg Howett concluded:
“I’d like to thank our employees, customers and partners for the trust they have placed in both organisations over many years.
Today is more than an acquisition, it is the beginning of a new chapter. Together we are building a company that gives organizations greater control over their digital infrastructure while simplifying how applications are secured, delivered and managed. We couldn’t be more excited about what comes next.”
